Christina Eguizábal chairs the Masters Program in Political Science at the University of Costa Rica and is a consultant for the Center for Peace and Reconciliation of the Arias Foundation for Peace and Human Progress. She received her Doctorate in Latin American Studies from the University of Paris (Sorbonne Nouvelle). She has taught in various colleges and universities in Central America, France, and the United States. She has also served as a consultant for various international organizations and was chair of the Ford-MacArthur Scholarship Selection Committee for Mexico and Central America from 1987 to 1991. She has published extensively in Latin America, Spain, France, and the United States.
