Steven Livingston is assistant professor of political communication and international affairs at George Washington University. His interests concern the media and politics, particularly relating to international affairs and U.S. foreign policy. He focuses on campaigns and elections, especially concerning the role of the mass media, voting behavior, public opinion, and political socialization. He wrote The Terrorism Spectacle: The Politics of Terrorism and the News Media (Boulder, Colo., 1994).
