Peter Sollis is Senior Fellow a the Washington Office on Latin America and a consultant for PAHO, WHO, and IDB. He received his B.Sc. and Ph.D. from University College, London. From 1979 to 1991 he worked at Oxfam-UK holding a number of positions in the Latin American program, including Field Director for the Andean Region, Field Director for Mexico and Central America, and Desk Officer for Central America. He has published extensively on social policy issues, NGOs, and Central America. He is presently at work on a book on NGOs and the Central America Crisis.
